Rural Life Engagement Session
How did you meet?
Sage and I first met in high school, through my cousin. When his high school baseball team came to play at my high school. My cousin wouldn’t set him up with me at the time. Sage, being the person he is, never gave up asking her and eventually she agreed. Fast forward to 5 summers later I went to Thibodaux to hang out with their friends and we have been together ever since.
How do he propose?
My sister and I planned a trip to Disney World for my godchild’s 3rd birthday. (We are Disney FANATICS, btw) When we planned the trip it originally was me, my sister, her husband, and daughter going. I tried to talk Sage into coming, but he doesn’t love Disney as much as me. We soon found out that Sage’s parents would be in Orlando at the same time for a work conference and this is when he decided to go. On the Saturday of our trip we went to Magic Kingdom for the day. After our lunch we went to take birthday pictures with my godchild in front of the castle. Once we took a few pictures with her Sage put her down and we took our own pictures. While taking pictures Sage got down on one knee, in front of the castle, and asked me to be his wife in my favorite place. It was truly magical and unforgettable.
“Sage got down on one knee, in front of the castle!”
What steps are you taking to prepare for married life?
We are going through marriage counseling with our Priest in order to prepare for our future together.
While planning your wedding, what are you most excited about?
We are most excited to be surrounded by all our friends and family for one night. Sage is from Thibodaux and I am from Gonzales, so it is very rare that we get to be with everyone together in one place.
What has been the most stressful part of planning a wedding?
The most stressful part has been picking out decorations and the little details to ensure our night is perfect.
“We would like to thank Tasha for making our engagement pictures one of the easiest, smoothest, and unforgettable moments. You have made the process so much easier and even made Sage comment on how easy it was, when he normally complains about pictures. We cannot thank you enough for your help so far and we look forward to working with you throughout the year.” – Stevi
